Primary Computing - Face to Face
All courses and CPD are fully funded by the DFE and are free to attend.
For the full day face to face courses state-funded schools in Education Investment Areas (Lincolnshire) will also receive a £205 subsidy to cover supply costs (1 subsidy per school in a given academic year).
Leading Primary Computing
This course will help new primary computing leaders to clarify their role and develop and implement a broad and balanced curriculum. You will learn how best to lead the improvement of computing teaching and learning, and to ensure assessment and monitoring is consistent across your school.

Inclusive Computing in Primary Schools
Some children seem to naturally flourish in computing, while others need more support to reach their potential. This CPD aims to give every child an excellent computing education in primary school, opening up future study and employment routes and closing attainment gaps.

Assessment of Primary Computing
This CPD aims to improve teachers’ knowledge of how to accurately assess their pupils and ways to show clear progression within the subject. Through a range of formative and summative assessment approaches you will confidently evaluate learning in computing, exploring various methods of evidence gathering to support and validate assessment data.

Developing and Supporting Programming within your Primary School
Programming is a large part of the computing curriculum and one which is taught in each year group at primary school. This course will ensure subject leaders are confident in supporting colleagues to understand what primary programming entails; from developing simple algorithms to designing programs to meet specific goals and all the steps in-between.

Computing for Specialist Teachers of Autistic Students
Computing offers great opportunities to autistic young people, but effective teaching and curriculum planning can be challenging. This CPD, developed for teachers in special schools and autism units, uses evidence-based approaches and draws on the experience and knowledge of successful teachers.
