Future Chef 2017
Yesterday we attended the National Final of the Future Chef 2017 competition, a much to do affair with some of the country’s top chefs there to judge. Holly Blockley was one of 12 who reached this stage of the competition out of 9150 students who entered. This in itself is a massive achievement. Holly was nervous but managed to hold it together to do herself, parents, Academy and the East Midlands region proud. The standard of cooking was very high to say the least. Although Holly didn’t place in the top three the competition has been an incredible learning experience which will help her in studies in Food & Nutrition. The winner got to the regional heat three years in a row, eventually making the final and winning it. Holly does have the option of two more years to enter if her nerves can take it?
