A Service of Nine Lessons and Carols
On Tuesday 13th December students from across all year groups took part in the Academy’s annual Service of Nine Lessons and Carols. Four different choirs, a vocal quartet, a string trio, soloists and the combined choirs delighted the congregation with a mixture of traditional and more modern Christmas carols. The standard of singing was excellent and the students were a real credit to the school. Soloists Ellie Martland and Florence Tosh sang beautifully and confidently and violinists Thomas Trimble and Thomas Osborne-Day really added to the atmosphere of ‘What Sweeter Music’. Our new venue of Lincoln Central Methodist Church was fantastic and we thank them for their hospitality. The congregation really enjoyed the service and we all left full of Christmas cheer and feeling like the festive season is now well underway!
