We welcomed visitors into the school to join our evening celebration of the Creative Arts. A final showcase of A level work was displayed in the gallery which was enhanced by KS3 workshops delivered by year 12 students. Parents and students were getting ‘creative’ whilst sculpting gargoyles in clay and printing fabrics. A visiting artist Phil Bowen worked with Year 9 students to share painting techniques and develop skills working in the school gardens. Creative writing was performed through Poetry readings. A range of Musical performances were seen including Choir singing, bands and solo artists throughout the evening. Guests were encouraged to take part in the African Drumming workshop where they sat in the evening summer sunshine entertaining the spectators. The evening came to life with performances from Dance and Drama with students working from devised and scripted pieces. A truly fantastic event celebrating the creativity enjoyed at The Priory Academy LSST!
