Boarders' basketball

The Priory Academy LSST’s Boarding House (Robert De Cheney) took on De Aston School's Sixth Form boarders at basketball.

On the 10th of December 2014 the Priory LSST’s Boarding House (Robert De Cheney) played basketball against De Aston’s Sixth Formers’ Boarding house. Bringing us the smashing victory of, 59-42.DeAston is a Boarding school in a village outside of Lincoln; it took us around a 40 minutes drive to get there. Despite the competitiveness it was still a nice and friendly environment, spectators from both sides socialised and chatted about their experiences in Boarding and at their schools. After the match we were all invited to dine with the De Aston Boarding school, where we met more boarders and got to relax and talk. After dinner De Aston Boarders showed us around their school and their facilities and we spent the end of the day chilling with them in their common room. We arrived back around 7:30pm where most of us had our second dinner, just because there is no place like home. Overall, the night was a great success and students bonded with each other very well. Next module, De Aston’s team will be coming to our school for another match. Hopefully, more events will be planned soon.
