Sixth Form
The Sixth Form at the Priory Academy LSST is an exciting and vibrant place to study. Set in a fantastic learning environment, we cater for the needs of more than 500 students and offer over 35 subjects, all taught by dedicated and specialist staff. The academic ethos we have in the Sixth Form means that the vast majority of students progress to University at the end of Year 13, including several to Oxbridge and various medical schools; all students, however, are supported thoroughly in whatever they choose to do.
The Sixth Form is proud of its excellent facilities. From the common room, to the Sixth Form canteen, study rooms and the IT base, our students are not short of places to study and relax. Science students have a purpose built teaching block which includes a planetarium and Sports students have a climbing wall, gymnasium, pool and running track. Our students also benefit from having a dedicated Sixth Form Manager and team available throughout the day who provide support for choosing courses, universities and careers as well as personal support from Form Tutors and Heads of Year.
As well as subjects to study, students can broaden their experiences in a number of ways, such as: participating in various sports, the Duke of Edinburgh scheme, completing Extended Project Qualifications, going out on work experience or joining the Combined Cadet Force. Students are encouraged to hold positions of responsibility whilst in the school and can apply to become a Senior Student, Prefect or House Captain, as well as volunteering to help organise events such as the Summer Ball.
Being a student at the Priory Academy LSST Sixth Form is a challenging, exhilarating and rewarding experience which equips all who study here with the qualifications and experiences necessary to take the next exciting step in their lives.
